MediaMan 3.10 (build 1102) / 10-10-2010
- A complete rewrite of MediaMan from scratch.
- Due to Amazon data API policy change, all existing customers will need to upgrade to this version to maintain Import panel usability on Amazon sites
- [Improvement] In areas such as collection opening, folder switch, and details viewing, there has been major performance improvements towards most parts of collection handling. As a result, MediaMan starts a lot faster, folder switch is almost instant.
- [Improvement] In item details rendering. MediaMan makes use of the Chromium Embedded Framework to replace Internet Explorer for twice as fast rendering of details.
- [Improvement] In virtual-shelf rendering. MediaMan utilizes your multi-core processing power efficiently to render thumbnails up to 4 times as fast, while still maintain cancelable and responsive user interface.
- [Improvement] Webcam barcode scanning is finally industrial grade. When combined with a good webcam such as Microsoft Lifecam Cinema, the performance could be even better than a laser USB scanner.
- [Improvement] MediaMan is now capable of reading a list of folders as input during import. It'll automatically attach files when related items are found during web lookup. And it even reads barcode from pictures if they are available in folders.
- [Improvement] Refined Import panel to allow far more tasks to run simultaneously while keeping indicators clean.
- [Improvement] Refined logic on item editing, and gallery mode. It's now much easier to edit entries and change pictures.
- [Improvement] Refined "Quick Tagging" feature to allow quick tagging in any mode, without the need of entering "Tag Mode".

MediaMan 3.0 (build 1025) / 12-11-2008
- [New Feature] Taking collection-wide notes in the home screen
- [New Feature] Enhanced backup mechanism allowing scheduled backup to any folder location, keeping up to 5 copies.
- [New Feature] MediaMan no longer fires up iexplorer.exe when clicking links in the detail HTML pane, or viewing images and item details in popup windows. Instead it uses its own multi-window browser "MediaMan Browser". MediaMan Browser still reuses Internet Explorer, however, it's lightweight and major performance improvement is expected.
- [New Feature] MediaMan now remembers "organization modes". If you quit in Tag or Flag mode, you will be bring to this mode automatically the next time you start MediaMan.
